Our Mission
At Restoration Psychiatry, we believe that life is a gift meant to be lived in abundance, not merely endured. There are seasons of life when all we can do is survive, hour by hour, minute by minute. During those times, we are here to support, encourage, and guide you toward restoration and a renewed sense of well-being, so that, in time, you can move from surviving to truly thriving.
"Growing up in Louisiana, I was surrounded by trees that withstood countless storms over the years. In the same way, our goal is to help you become deeply rooted and resilient, like a strong, established oak, able to weather life’s challenges with stability and strength. Together, we will work in a way that feels comfortable for you and fits your lifestyle." - Kelsey Sticker, PMHNP-BC
Beyond resilience, we also focus on growth and flourishing. Our aim is to help you develop healthier thought patterns, recognize behaviors that bring goodness and balance to your life, and feel encouraged that you are not alone in your journey. You are worthy of care, healing, and support!
It is natural to face struggles throughout life’s transitions, but you do not have to face them alone. If you are seeking hope, healing, and stability, we invite you to reach out.
Our Approach
Healing looks different for everyone. That’s why we take the time to truly know you, your story, your goals, and the challenges you’re facing before building a care plan that’s uniquely yours.
At Restoration Psychiatry, we combine evidence-based psychiatric care with genuine human connection, because we know that feeling heard is often the first step toward feeling better. From your very first appointment, you’ll find a space that is free of judgment, full of compassion, and dedicated entirely to your well-being.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to reach out. Wherever you are in your journey, we’ll meet you there.

Our Services

Psychiatric Evaluations
Every great care plan starts with truly understanding you. Our comprehensive psychiatric evaluations go beyond a checklist. We take the time to explore your mental health history, your current experiences, and what matters most to you in your recovery. Together, we’ll identify what’s getting in the way of your well-being and map out a clear, personalized path forward. Whether this is your first time seeking psychiatric care or you’re looking for a fresh start with a new provider, your evaluation is a conversation, not an interrogation. You’ll leave feeling seen, understood, and with a plan that actually fits your life.

Medication Management
Medication isn’t right for everyone, but for many people, it can be a powerful and life- changing part of their care. At Restoration Psychiatry, we approach medication thoughtfully and collaboratively. We’ll walk you through your options in plain language, answer every question you have, and never rush a decision as important as this one. If medication is part of your plan, we’ll monitor your progress closely, adjust as needed, and check in regularly to make sure it’s truly working for you. You’ll never feel like just a prescription here.

Psychotherapy
Sometimes the most healing thing is simply having a safe space to talk. Our psychotherapy services use an integrative approach, drawing from proven techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies tailored to what resonates with you. Whether you’re processing a difficult experience, navigating a major life transition, or simply trying to better understand yourself, therapy at Restoration Psychiatry is a collaborative process. We’ll build practical tools, explore patterns, and work together toward the life and mental wellness you deserve.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect at my first appointment? Think of your first appointment as a conversation, not a test. We’ll spend time getting to know you, your mental health history, your current challenges, and your goals for care. There’s nothing you need to prepare or have figured out beforehand. Just come as you are.

Do you specialize in perinatal mental health? Yes. Supporting individuals through pregnancy and the postpartum period is a deep passion of mine. I am trained in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and provide specialized, compassionate care for patients in this season of life. Having experienced these conditions first hand, alongside my clinical training, I understand this condition from the inside out.

Will I be prescribed medication at my first visit? Not necessarily. Medication decisions are made thoughtfully and collaboratively, never rushed. After your evaluation, we’ll discuss all of your options together and only move forward with what feels right for you.

What ages do you see? We currently see adolescents (12-17 years) and adult patients (18+). If you have questions about whether our services are the right fit for you, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Do you offer therapy as well as medication management? Yes. At Restoration Psychiatry, we believe in treating the whole person. We offer both psychotherapy and medication management. Many patients benefit from a combination of both. We also spend time discussing helpful habits that can strengthen your emotional and physical well-being. We’ll work with you to determine what approach best supports your healing.

What insurances do you accept? We currently accept Carelon Behavioral Health, Quest Behavioral Health, Cigna, and Aetna. We are in the process of credentialing with additional insurers, and our network is growing. Please reach out directly to confirm your coverage or discuss self-pay options. We are committed to making care as accessible as possible.

What is telehealth, and how does it work? Telehealth is simply a virtual appointment conducted via a secure video platform - similar to a video call. You’ll receive a link before your appointment, click to join from your phone, tablet, or computer, and meet with me from the privacy of your own space. It’s confidential, convenient, and just as effective as an in-person visit.
How do I get started? It’s simple. Reach out through our contact form below or call us directly to schedule your initial evaluation. We’ll take care of the rest.
About Me
My name is Kelsey Sticker.
I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with specialized training in pregnancy and postpartum mental health, in Louisiana.
I became a nurse to support people during their most vulnerable moments, and that purpose has shaped everything I do. After years of working in acute critical care, I realized I wanted to go deeper to treat not just the diagnosis, but the whole person, considering the mind, the body, the spirit, and the relationships that all impact mental health. I bring both my clinical expertise and genuine care for your well-being to every appointment to help you navigate even the toughest of seasons.
At Restoration Psychiatry, care is never one-size-fits-all. I work collaboratively with each patient to create a thoughtful, evidence-based treatment plan that incorporates your personal goals and lifestyle. If medication management is the right step for you, we will find an option that safely meets your needs, while making sure you feel educated and comfortable with the plan. I enjoy teaching patients about their conditions, the treatment plans, and the impact of nutrition, sleep hygiene, and physical activity on mental health.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, humanistic therapy, and a faith-based approach (if desired) to strengthen healthy thought patterns and improve lifestyle choices. Whatever you are walking through, my promise to you is simple - we will walk through this journey together to help you regain hope, healing, and stability.
“You are not alone. There is hope. We will find it together.”
